Is kinship membership account or character related?  Like, if three friends each had three characters and they all joined a kinship, would there be three or nine members in that kinship?

It’s character related, so if you want several different kinships then don’t fear. Some people enjoy having all or most of their characters in one kinship though, but it’s all up to you in the end. If all friends’ three characters joined that kinship, that would make nine members.
